- Bock Beer was Herb’s favorite. Like so many the Bock memorabilia too, is the favorite of many collectors. What a variety of “breweriana” there is, featuring the Bock’s symbol the Goat. Bock means Goat in German. There are many stories of how Bock Beer got its name. The Marshfield Brewing Co. of Marshfield, Wisconsin, who brewed from 1893-1920 and 1933-1966 told their version on their litho.
